Classes resume for the third session of the A+ hit quiz show ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5th GRADER?. Acclaimed comedian Jeff Foxworthy is at the head of the class as host of this atypical game show, which measures adults' lack of knowledge - as revealed by how much they've forgotten since grammar school. The family-friendly fun continues next season when the show enrolls a new class of 5th graders.

On the show, adult contestants find themselves revisiting the classroom, tackling subjects they've already been taught - from art to geography and math to social studies. The test questions, derived from actual textbooks used in the 1st through 5th grades, are similar to the following:

1. 1st Grade Social Studies: What was the first name of the first U.S. First Lady?

2. 2nd Grade Science: The chimpanzee's native habitat is on what continent?

3. 3rd Grade English: What is the singular form of the word "lice"?

4. 4th Grade Literature: Who wrote the book "Little House on the Prairie"?

5. 5th Grade Science: What is the most abundant element in the universe?

When the questions prove to be challenging, as they inevitably do, the contestants are not alone; there is a way to "cheat" in this classroom. Adults can get some elementary help by using a "peek," "copy" or "save" from actual 5th grade classmates to determine the correct a-n-s-w-e-r and graduate toward the top prize of $1 million.

Highlights of the sophomore season included celebrities Regis Philbin, Clay Aiken, Kellie Pickler, Tony Hawk, Billy Bush and Miss America Lauren Nelson entering the classroom to be quizzed for charity.

Mark Burnett Productions produces ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5th GRADER? in association with ZOO Productions. Burnett, Barry Poznick and John Stevens serve as executive producers.
